RTH was founded by group of renowned race car drivers in 1963. Its goal was obvious; the Netherlands must earn its place in the top of international motorsport with possibly a Dutch world champion. The team supported young talented drivers passionately and it offered them a chance to pursuit a successful international career. Hans Hugenholtz jr. and the royal Princes Bernhard van Oranje and Pieter-Christiaan van Oranje decided to revive the renowned race team. It's currently the oldest race team in the Netherlands and receives technical support of BMW dealer Ekris in the GT4 European Series.
